We just found out about what happened to Solomon. We were thinking about his return from Chicago and to our class. His smile and presence will be greatly missed in our lessons. Our deepest sympathy to his family. Que Dios os bendiga.

This came as a shock to me.I knew Sol from work at NTNI and salsa. I can't believe he is no more. I don know what to say. He was so full of life. Always smiling...full of life. We shared so many jokes. I am so shocked. I don know what to say. May his soul rests in peace. He touched so many lives. My thoughts are with his family in difficult times. Goodbye Sol......

I had the privilege of attending university with Sol during 1996-2000. We have since lost touch, but I will always remember what a kind hearted individual he was, always willing to assist and encourage those in need.
It came as a complete shock to me to learn of his passing. My sincerest condolonces go out to his family.
Goodbye Sol, it was an honour to have known you.

i never knew sol for long, (regretfully) nor had i ever sat down and had a conversation with him, but i had danced with him a few times and that was enough for me to see what a wonderful person he was, willing to dance with anyone at any level and enjoying doing it. he always was smiling and laughing and always so helpful. i can still remember his giggling at my silliness and that will always be my fond memory of him. i feel very honoured to have known him and to have danced with him and i hope one day i will again. my thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time. love jennifer

Only just heard about Sol's passing.. We were seated together at our graduation, a day of much joy and celebration.. Yet Sol emanated this happiness whenever, wherever. He always had a smile to share. A true gentleman, a treasure. Sol - you will be dearly missed. Fare thee well.

I was sorry to not be able to make the funeral today, and I only caught the end of the reception at the Stormont Hotel, so I just wanted to pass on my deepest sympathy to Sol's family.
I met Sol at NTNI, and got chatting about his dad, who taught me at Queen's. (Motivational theory, and I'm a life coach now, so thank-you for that early inspiration..!) Over the years I got to know Sol better - as everyone here has said, Sol had a smile for everyone - and extra for us ladies! Sol was an incorrigible flirt, but a gentleman with it - Peter's fiancee told me that's a family trait, so obviously Peter taught Sol well...
Reading through these comments, it's clear that Sol achieved more in his 31 years than many will in a lifetime; to have positively affected everyone he met and spread a bit of sunshine wherever he went.

(continued) You couldn't really aim for a better legacy to leave, and it's a credit to Sol's family that he was such a caring, positive person; he was obviously brought up with a lot of love. I wish his family and friends all the strength and courage in the world for the days ahead.
Do not stand at my grave and weep, I am not there, I do not sleep. I am in a thousand winds that blow, I am the softly falling snow. I am the gentle showers of rain, I am the fields of ripening grain. I am in the morning hush, I am in the graceful rush Of beautiful birds in circling flight, I am the starshine of the night. I am in the flowers that bloom, I am in a quiet room. I am in the birds that sing, I am in each lovely thing. Do not stand at my grave and cry, I am not there. I do not die.

I am devastated to hear of the passing of Sol. I knew Solomon through Kainos and when I think of him, I think of his smile. Many people pass through your life but it is the special people who make an imprint - for me Solomon was one of those. He was a true gentleman. I extend my deepest sympathies to his family and everyone who knew him.

I had the pleasure of being in the same Computer Studies class as Sol at W.C.B. 1993-95. We had some great laughs... and learnt the odd thing about computers too! It was nice to meet up with him again when he joined NTNI. I know he has left his mark on quite a few people in NTNI and further a field. I still can't believe he's gone… R.I.P Sol.
